Mission Statement:
"Learning from yesterday's challenges and building hope for a New Day."
The mission of the NewDay Foundation is to help cancer patients as they struggle with the everyday challenges of treatments and the obstacles that they may face. We hand deliver new teddy bears to cancer patients and children at local children's hospitals that provide comfort to those individuals as they experience the difficulties of cancer and side effects from chemotherapy.
NewDay is also committed to bringing music into the lives of those who recognize the benefits of music as an alternative form of therapy.

Teddy Bear Concert
Update
This year the Annual Teddy Bear concert was held at Cheers Banquet Hall. The change in venue was necessary in order to provide a more comfortable setting and ample parking for the increasing number of guests who attend every year. The new facility gave all attendees the opportunity to enjoy refreshments, food and comfortable seating while listening to a fabulous show.
The evening started with two $1000.00 scholarships awarded to
Lauren Anderson and Chase Freeland. Both students are local high school seniors pursuing music education at the collegiate level. The evening continued with Box Set, the NewDay Band and Elder Eddie Scott.
During intermission, through donations from some very generous people, we had the privilege of giving away some amazing prizes, along with proceeds from the 50/50 raffle. The remainder of the program continued with Cripple Creek and ended with the NewDay Band finale. Throughout the event it was obvious that everyone enjoyed the variety of music, including Jazz, Christian, Gospel, Country and Contemporary. And to perfectly top off the evening, the Door Village ladies offered their usual delicious spread of sweets.
Over 300 people attended the event that evening resulting in its huge success. All of the proceeds will be given to local residents suffering from cancer and hospitalized children. Mark you calendars for next year, Saturday, April 28, 2012. You will not want to miss it!
